HYDERABAD: About half a dozen armed men attacked village Khuda Bux Khaskheli in Jamshoro district and after beating men, women and children whisked away villagers’ cattle, looted cash, and abducted four villagers including a 12-year-old child.
According to details, the armed men have attacked this village second time in a week and after looting cattle, cash, and households, abducted nine persons (3 women including one 70-year old, an infant, and some men).
They also grabbed agricultural lands of the villagers which they cultivate on rain water. The armed men later threw abducted persons near a hilltop. The villagers held a protest demonstration here.
Khuda Bux, Muhammad Dhani Bux, Anwer, Achar, Ali Sher and others told media that influential Waderas of the area want to grab their non-perennial land and for this purpose they are attacking their village through their armed men.
They said they held a protest in front of DIG office who then directed SP headquarter Sohai Talpur for necessary action but she asked them to go to Jamshoro police station for registering an FIR.
But when they arrived there, Jamshoro police refused to file the case against the known robbers namely Imam Ali, Ghazi, Ali Dost, Allah Bux and Bashir, and instead SHO threatened them to run away or he would put them in the lock up.
The affectees appealed to the chief justice of Pakistan, chief minister Sindh and IG Sindh to take notice of the attacks and help them recover their looted cattle, cash, and other households.
They also demanded the arrest of the culprits and protection to the villagers.
