LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and former prime minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, senior central leader and former deputy prime minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi expressed heartfelt grief and sorrow over the demise of elderly PML leader and former federal minister Anwar Ali Cheema.
Other PML leaders including Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain, Chaudhry Shafaat Hussain, Moonis Elahi, Shafay Hussain, Salik Hussain, Senator Kamil Ali Agha, MNA Tariq Bashir Cheema, Chaudhry Zaheeruddin Khan, Muhammad Basharat Raja have also expressed their condolences.
Expressing condolence to the son of the departed soul MPA Aamir Sultan Cheema and the entire bereaved family, the PML leaders said that the services rendered by the late Anwar as a PML leader not only for the country and the nation but also for the people of Sargodha would always be remembered.
They said that he (Anwar) was a great asset of PML and his services for the people were the beacon light for other party leaders and workers. He was very patriotic, matured and elderly political leader and took special interest in solving the problems of common man, this was why people had elected him and his son Aamir Sultan Cheema for their representation a number of times, they said.
