ISLAMABAD: The passengers of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) from now onward would be offered cool offer in parked aircraft as the airlines have ultimately purchased devices to keep the internal environment of the parked aircraft cool.
“PIA has purchased six air conditioning vehicles to keep the aircraft cool when parked on the ground”, said the Spokesman of the airlines in a media release on Wednesday.
Three of these vehicles would be stationed at Islamabad, two at Lahore and one at Karachi airport, he added.
In line to familiarize relevant staff about the new machinery training sessions are being conducted at Karachi airport.
With the procurement of these machines PIA will save millions of rupees per year by keeping the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) off on the ground, in addition to giving passengers a cool cabin during summer season, giving them a better flight experience.
