ISLAMABAD: National Highway Authority (NHA) spent Rs30544.657 million on maintenance of national highways and motorways across the country, during the last three years.
An official of NHA told Wednesday that the authority had spent Rs11201.044 million on roads in Punjab, Rs5913.949 million in Sindh, Rs4552.462 million in Balochistan, Rs6279.033 million in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Rs17 million in Gilgit Baltistan.
He said the total amount included Rs2581.169 million on maintenance of motorways. He said on the construction of highways and motorways, a total of Rs170756.855 million were spent throughout the country.
