SHIKARPUR: Shikarpur police have self committed to clean Shikarpur from criminals and in this regard they have decided to launch combing search operation against criminals with the help of Pak Army and have finalized all the necessary arrangements here on Monday.
According to an official source, Shikarpur police have finalized all the arrangements against criminals to eliminate crimes in this regard police have set up three camps, which are including kacha area of Garhi Tegho, kacha area of tehsil Khanpur and tehsil Garhi Yasin. Separately, in joint operation Naparkot and Faizo police have demolished and burnt more than 10 hideouts of the criminals on Monday.
A tiny island had become safe haven for criminals for the last three decades and was No-Go area for the local residents due to their atrocities while every year, many people used to face kidnappings for ransom, murder, robberies, crop and cattle theft at the hands of these criminals, who had become of symbol of terror and fear.
During search operations police have recovered huge cache of weapons while dacoits managed to escape from scene.
